These are just a few of the topics that will be addressed at our upcoming CWC Hangout: Meet More Socially Conscious Businesses.

Join Cooks Who Care on Tuesday, May 15th at EAT Cafe for a special discussion titled “Socially Conscious & In Business.” Learn from leaders who have experience in sharing their social consciousness through successful businesses.

This event features two speakers:

Lori Shuster, from Throw Like a Woman Consulting With Social Impact. Lori will lead a conversation about how to promote your business’s message of social responsibility and connect with your community, while still focusing on growth and profitability.

Valerie Erwin, General Manager of EAT Cafe. EAT Cafe (EAT being an acronym for Everyone At the Table) is a non-profit, pay-what-you-can restaurant designed to offer quality food and dining experiences to guests from all walks of life and to drive a conversation about issues of food insecurity in our community. Valerie will share insight from her many years in the Philadelphia restaurant industry, running restaurants that are part of the fabric of their communities, and will discuss the mission of EAT Cafe.
